How the call goes

  1. Call the number

    From any phone in the United States. Jingle, one of Santa's helpers, answers and tells you the price before anything else.

  2. A grown-up unlocks Santa

    Press 1 and type a card on the keypad. It takes about thirty seconds, and nobody hears the numbers.

  3. Hand over the phone

    Santa asks about their year and what they wish for. He remembers them the next time they call from the same phone.

After the call

The wish list comes to you, ready to shop

While Santa chats, the elves write down every wish. A minute after the call you get one text with the list. Each gift has a button that finds it on Amazon, so the shopping takes two taps instead of a guessing game.

When the minutes run out

Santa says goodbye a couple of minutes before the end. Jingle then offers 20 more minutes for $40. If you do nothing, nothing is charged.

Santa's voice is made with AI

We tell you plainly. The voice and the conversation are generated by artificial intelligence, written and tested for young children.

We keep no recordings

Calls are not recorded and transcripts are not stored. We keep a first name and the wish list, so we can send you the letter.

Santa never asks where you live

No last names, addresses or schools. If a child offers one, Santa says the reindeer already know the way.

No promises about gifts

Santa says the elves will do their best. What ends up under the tree is up to you.

Questions grown-ups ask

Is Santa a real person?

No. Santa's voice on this line is created with artificial intelligence. He stays in character with children and is honest with a grown-up who asks.

What ages is this for?

Children from about three to ten enjoy it most. A grown-up has to unlock the line and should stay nearby during the call.

How do I pay?

With a credit or debit card, typed on your phone's keypad during the call. The card is handled by Twilio and Stripe. We never see or store the card number.

Do the minutes expire?

Minutes can be used for twelve months from the day you buy them, from the same phone number.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If something went wrong with your call, or you have not used any of your minutes, write to us within fourteen days and we will refund you.

Will you text me?

One text after each call, with the link to your child's wish list. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop them, or HELP for help.

Do I have to buy the gifts through you?

No. The wish list is yours either way. The buttons on it search Amazon for each gift to save you time, and we may earn a commission from Amazon if you buy there. It costs you nothing extra.
